Artist Statement
In life a single glimpse is never enough…
I draw my inspiration from human relationships and nature.
My 3 dimensional works reveal multiple meanings and facets;
Each work begins with one female figure which evolves into additional images.
I feel a connection between a woman’s strength and softness and the contrasting
qualities of stiffness and flexibility of the Metal Wire Mesh. I try to express this
dichotomy through my work, creating figurative abstract Sculptures and Relief’s.
The transparency of this medium allows the viewer to see shapes through other
shapes, giving birth to new flowing forms.
